Beluga vodka is traditional and its marketing relies heavily on its Russian origins. However, the birth in 2002 of Beluga Noble (40°) demonstrates a desire to reach a more demanding and resolutely premium audience. This vodka is wants refined and its flavor is strongly linked to the origin of its buckwheat from the south of Mariinsk (in the Altai region). Unlike other premium vodkas, Beluga uses malt brandy in its manufacturing process. Water from artesian springs in Siberia is then used. Finally, a three-step filtration process is used. Then, a month-long maturation phase is used to “stabilize” the spirit. Such a time is necessary due to the use of malt brandy.
