The HSE rum aged undergrowth is an agricultural rum distilled at Simon – Le François, located in the French West Indies and more precisely, in Martinique. Then, it is brought to maturity in Gros Morne, within the Habitation Saint Etienne, which will give it its name: HSE. The latter, which was originally a sugar refinery, was modernized and transformed into a distillery in 1882 by Amédée Aubéry, at the time a young captain of industry. The HSE house does not have to envy the prestigious stories of other distilleries in the surrounding regions, such as those of the beautiful island of Guadeloupe or those, more wild, of Marie-Galante. Capitalizing on its historical heritage and stemming from a century-old tradition, the HSE house benefits from an expertise recognized by an Appellation d’Origine Contrôlée, the AOC Martinique. This Martinican rum matures in oak barrels for between 12 and 18 months.
