Don Papa rum comes from the island of Negros in the Philippines where it is made from local molasses, renowned for its sweetness and richness. The raw material comes from sugar cane grown locally on the island of Negros, also called “Sugarlandia”. It is then at the Bago distillery that the column distillation takes place. The aging is also done on site, at the foot of the Kanlaon volcano. Barrels of bourbon and rioja (Spanish wine) go into the blend of this rum which is a minimum of 7 years old.
